the irony of young will reeve
The irony of young Will Reeve. Now his mother is gone and he is an orphan in one sense yet the very essence of the "Superman" plot in the other. He has been shuttled off to another "planet" or world without his parents but in turn what superhero type things will he be able to do because of this experience. I just got the "existential willies" (some variant of this word everywhere!!) just thinking like that. Would hope to live long enough to see what he does.
Although I am saddened by her death on a personal level because of Cindy. The grief is not that she is gone now almost 4 years but its the wonder what of could have continued had death not intervened.
I also pray that people will put a stop to the judgement and the blaming the victim for the cancer that "they got". Perhaps we should look further into why lung cancer, the number one cancer killer in women, is not funded on par with breast cancer. Is it because it is far more lethal than we are used to or is it just that lungs aren't breasts.
Please pray for me too as my pharisee can rear its ugly head too.

Yes, your thoughts on young Will gave me the chills too! It does make you wonder what his 'cause' will be when he is older because God knows he has probably matured beyond his chronilogical age! Cancer is indeed a fearful creature that feeds at random on healthy and vibrant souls. It took my uncle at 50 yrs old from a rare and fast moving form that usually strikes children...they did not know how or why it attacked him. We will never know the answers to the what ifs but we have to believe that there is an unbeknownst to us lesson for those survivors to learn. You are probably right as to why there is so much more made of breast cancer...because that is what is visable...since lungs are not...it is the old addage of out of sight, out of mind....I know that that is probably not exactly what you meant. You probably meant that if big lungs were thought of as being sexy rather than breasts then there would probably be more spent on lung cancer. Sex appeal is what sells and brings in big bucks..lungs just arent sexy....very sad. Isnt it? What I do see though is a vibrant young woman that keeps mentioning her demise and that scares me more than anything. I keep picturing her getting stronger...we need her to do the same. My dear, you always fight against the grain, go against what is published and think outside the box, you need to do the same concerning this. There is always soemone who changes the odds and if anyone can do it, it would be you! I pray for this strength and picture this strength in you daily!
